Key features include live video viewing, playback access, snapshot capture, event notifications, and device management through the Hik-Connect cloud. Manual recording control is supported via ISAPI proxy pass when available.

Solution Architecture

The solution architecture is based on a cloud-centric design using Hik-Connect Team OpenAPI. Hikvision network cameras are securely connected to the Hik-Connect, where video streams, events, and device data are managed. A back-end system hosted on Google Cloud communicates with the Hik-Connect cloud through authenticated OpenAPI requests to retrieve live video, playback, snapshots, and events.
